About the Job
Join Nextier Cabinets:
Nextier Cabinets is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Kitchen Designer with an established book of business and strong relationships with builders, contractors, remodelers, and other trade professionals.
This is not simply a kitchen design position. We are looking for someone who understands the builder and contractor market, knows how to develop long-term accounts, and can combine excellent kitchen design skills with a strong sales and relationship-building mindset.
If you already have relationships within the Atlanta-area construction and remodeling community and want to represent a growing cabinet company with an extensive product selection, competitive wholesale pricing, and a strong commitment to service, we want to talk with you.

What You’ll Do:
  • Design kitchens, bathrooms, and other cabinetry projects for builders, contractors, remodelers, designers, and their clients.
  • Develop new business using your existing network of builders, contractors, and trade professionals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with dealer and trade accounts.
  • Meet with customers in our Norcross showroom and assist with product and finish selections.
  • Create professional kitchen layouts, 3D renderings, quotes, and presentations.
  • Review measurements, plans, elevations, appliance specifications, and project requirements.
  • Recommend cabinetry solutions based on design, budget, availability, and project timelines.
  • Follow projects from initial design and quotation through ordering and delivery.
  • Generate repeat business by becoming a trusted cabinetry resource for your accounts.
  • Work closely with Nextier's sales, operations, warehouse, and management teams to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Who We’re Looking For:
Our ideal candidate has:
  • An established book of business or existing relationships with builders, contractors, remodelers, or other trade professionals.
  • Previous kitchen and bath design experience.
  • Strong cabinetry and construction knowledge.
  • Experience developing and managing B2B or trade accounts.
  • Proficiency with 2020 Design software or comparable kitchen design software.
  • Ability to read plans, measurements, elevations, and construction documents.
  • Strong sales, communication, presentation, and follow-up skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and customer accounts simultaneously.
  • A self-motivated, entrepreneurial approach to developing business.
  • A strong understanding of the importance of accuracy, deadlines, and customer service.

Our goal is simple: make it easier for builders and contractors to sell, order, and complete their cabinetry projects.

The Opportunity:
This position is ideal for an experienced designer who has spent years developing relationships in the kitchen, remodeling, homebuilding, or construction industries and wants an opportunity to turn those relationships into a significant book of recurring business.
We are especially interested in candidates who can bring established relationships to the table while continuing to expand their territory and account base.
Your relationships open the door. Our selection, pricing, design support, and service help you keep the business.
